Comprehensive Thailand Trip

An incredible 16-day introductory trip to magical Thailand. We will explore the picturesque city of Kanchanaburi and the bustling nightlife of Pattaya; Ride elephants in the jungles of Chiang Mai, visit the golden temples and relax on the sandy beaches of the island of Phuket. All this while experiencing plenty of culture, music, and local delicacies.

Trip Overview

Day 1: Bangkok

Upon arrival, we’ll head to the hotel. After settling in, we’ll go on a night tour to the bustling city and the night flower market, where we’ll catch sight of the spectacular flower arrangements.

We’ll pass by the night-lit Democracy Monument and Golden Mount and conclude the day in Khao San Road, famous for its nightlife.

Day 2: Bangkok

We’ll experience the wonderful city of Bangkok and have a taste of local life. We’ll visit the world-famous backpacker hub of the Khao San Road and meet travellers from around the world.

Day 3: Kanchanaburi

We’ll go on a guided tour of the city and visit its most significant temples: Wat Pho, Temple of the Reclining Buddha, and of course, the Giant Buddha statue. We’ll have a tour at the King’s Palace, considered to be one of the wonders of the east.

After the tour, we’ll continue to the Chao Phraya River that runs through the city, and go on a special boat ride, where we’ll observe the beautiful structures along the river. We’ll enter the Thonburi district to view the spectacular Temple of Dawn and the stilt houses built on the waterway.

Day 4: Kanchanaburi

In the morning we’ll head out to the unique province of Damnoen Saduak, we’ll ride long-tail boats to the famous floating market and take part in the on-water trade in one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

We’ll head on to Kanchanaburi, the area that became well-known during WWII, where we’ll visit the bridge on the River Kwai, the JEATH War Museum and the place where the big and little Kwai rivers meet to form the Mae Klong River.

We’ll end the tour with lunch on the river and spend the night in Kanchanaburi.

Day 5: Kanchanaburi

We’ll take a trip to the breathtaking Erawan National Park, also known as the 7-tier Waterfall Reserve – One of the wonders of the universe. We’ll then head on to the lush and picturesque region of Kanchanaburi, and cross under the famous bridge on the river Kwai, which was built during WWII in order to construct a railway and cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of victims who participated in its construction.

We’ll head to the Amphawa District, where we’ll take a cable car to the Chinese-style Tiger Temple, overlooking of the rice fields.

Day 6: Pattaya

After breakfast we’ll head east to the lively oceanside city of Pattaya.

In the evening we’ll head out to the city’s famous Walking Street, where we’ll find an abundance of clubs, bars, shops and more.

Day 7: Pattaya - Chiang Rai

At the late hours of the morning, we’ll head by car to Bangkok. From the airport in Bangkok, we’ll fly to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival in Chiang Rai in the afternoon we’ll head to the hotel to settle in and have a lovely dinner. After dinner we’ll head out to an introductory guided tour of the magical city of Chiang Rai.

Day 8: Chiang Mai

In the morning we’ll go on a boat ride along the Kok River and visit the Karen Hill tribe. From there, we’ll go on an elephant ride in the heart of the jungle.

We’ll continue south on the historic Smuggler Route, visit the Padaung tribe, also known as the Long Neck Village, and the Long-ear tribe of Kayaw. We will not skip the great citrus project established in the North of the country, in collaboration with the State of Israel. Afterwards we’ll make our ascend to the mountain range located in between the valleys and make a quick stop at the great tribal market.

Before evening fall, we’ll arrive at Chiang Mai, the capital city of Thailand’s northern region and head out to the city’s famous night market.

Day 9: Elephant Valley

We start our visit in Chiang Mai at the exquisite Doi Suthep Temple. We’ll take the cable car to the top of the mountain, elevated at 1,200 metres, to visit north Thailand’s most significant temple. We’ll conduct a guided tour of the temple, which includes participation in a special chanting ceremony for luck and prosperity.

Afterwards we’ll make our way to the Elephant Valley, to attend a fantastic elephant show and tour the unique farm, including a relaxing bamboo river rafting.

Day 10: Pai

After breakfast we’ll head out to the Chinese village of Ban Sichon, inhabited by Chinese immigrants. The village is a living testimony to the preservation of the Chinese traditions by the inhabitants, who adopted some of the local traditions.

From there we’ll have a bamboo river raft in the Tham Lod cave, measuring 400 metres deep. We’ll continue to a visit in the Lisu Tribe where we’ll learn about their way of life, followed by a climb to the viewpoint overlooking the area.

In the evening we’ll take a tour in the lively streets of Pai.

Day 11: Chiang Mai

After breakfast we’ll head to Chiang Mai. On the way there we’ll make a stop at the Huai Nam Dang National Park and its hot springs, rich with essential minerals. After arriving in Chiang Mai, we’ll head to the Artists Villages, where the merchants lay out their art-and-craftwork of silver, wood, and more. To conclude our busy day, we’ll indulge ourselves with a Thai massage.

Later we’ll go out for an authentic and fun evening which includes dinner and Thai Kantok dancing.

Day 12: Chiang Mai - Phuket

We’ll take a flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket. Upon arrival at Phuket, we’ll settle in the hotel.

In the evening we’ll head to the nightlife area at the beautiful and rumbustious Patong beach, accompanied by the tour guide.

Day 13: Phuket

The day will be dedicated to Phang-Nga, one of the world’s most spectacular national parks. We’ll head out to the pier located in the northern part of the island, and from there take a boat to the well-known national park, with its magnificent limestone karst islands peeking out of the water and lush mangrove trees.

We’ll visit the famous James Bond Island, where we can purchase pearls harvested from the deep sea and sold on site. We’ll have lunch and then go canoeing along the mangrove trees and the many caves in the area. In the afternoon we’ll head back to the hotel.

Day 14: Phuket

After breakfast, we’ll go on an extensive tour around Phuket Island, where we will view the beautiful landscapes and observe the rain forests, visit the agricultural areas and Phuket’s magical garden. We’ll end the day at Phuket’s shopping centre where we’ll have some free time, then head back to the hotel.

In the evening we’ll go out to see an exclusive cabaret and musical show, with spectacular costumes and colours.

Day 15: Phuket - Bangkok

After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport and catch a flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival we’ll check-in to the hotel where we’ll have some time to refresh.

In the evening we’ll take a tour to a viewpoint that overlooks the city and conclude our wonderful journey with dinner.

Day 16: Bangkok - Home

The end of the trip. Transportation to Bangkok airport and flight home.
