Koh Pha Ngan

Koh Pha Ngan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand, located in the southeast province of Surat Thani. The name “Koh Pha Ngan” in Thai derives from the words “Koh” – island, “Pha” – white and “Ngan” – sand; The Island of White Sands.

The island has an area of 125 km² and is located 15km north of Koh Samui and 35km south of Koh Tao. The island is home to approximately 11,846 residents.
