An incredible 12-day introductory trip to magical Thailand. We will explore the picturesque city of Kanchanaburi and the bustling nightlife of Pattaya; Ride elephants in the jungles of Chiang Mai, visit the golden temples and relax on the sandy beaches of the island of Koh Chang. All this while experiencing plenty of culture, music, and local delicacies.

Trip Overview

Day 1: Bangkok

Upon arrival in Bangkok, we’ll take a domestic flight north to the city of Chiang Rai.

We’ll have some time to rest in the hotel after arriving to Chiang Rai.

Day 2: Chiang Rai

We’ll start the trip at the Mae Fah Luang Garden, one of the most spectacular gardens in Thailand. We’ll continue to the famous triple border point between Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar – The Golden Triangle – An area known to be popular among smugglers of goods across borders. We’ll visit the local smugglers market, where the vendors trade off their goods, we’ll then have lunch, and conclude the day with a boat ride along the massive Mekong river.

In the evening we’ll head out to the wonderful tribal night market.

Day 3: Chiang Mai

After breakfast, we’ll head south to visit the Long-Neck Tribe.

We’ll drive on and reach Chiang Mai, the capital city of the north, and feast our eyes with local art made of silver, wood, leather, and more.

In the evening we’ll go on a spectacular folklore show, accompanied by a delicious dinner.

Day 4: Chiang Rai

We start our day in Chiang Mai at the exquisite Doi Suthep Temple. We’ll take the cable car to the top of the mountain, elevated at 1,200 metres, to visit north Thailand’s most significant temple. We’ll conduct a guided tour of the temple, which includes participation in a special chanting ceremony for luck and prosperity.

Afterwards we’ll make our way to the Elephant Valley, to attend a fantastic elephant show and tour the unique farm, including a relaxing bamboo river rafting.

Day 5: Bangkok

After breakfast we’ll board a flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, Thailand’s vibrant capital city.

In the evening we’ll have a night tour of the flower market and the bustling Khao San Road, the famous backpacker hub that is packed with travelers, shoppers, and partygoers 24-hours a day.

Day 6: Bangkok

After breakfast, we’ll go on a guided tour of the city and visit its most significant temples: Wat Pho, Temple of the Reclining Buddha, and of course, the Giant Buddha statue. We’ll have a tour at the King’s Palace, considered to be one of the wonders of the east.

After the tour, we’ll continue to the Chao Phraya River that runs through the city, and go on a special boat ride, where we’ll observe the beautiful structures along the river. We’ll enter the Thonburi district to view the spectacular Temple of Dawn and the stilt houses built on the waterway.

Day 7: Kanchanaburi

In the morning we’ll head out to the unique province of Damnoen Saduak, we’ll ride long-tail boats to the famous floating market and take part in the on-water trade in one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

We’ll head on to Kanchanaburi, the area that became well-known during WWII, where we’ll visit the bridge on the River Kwai, the JEATH War Museum and the place where the big and little Kwai rivers meet ro form the Mae Klong River.

We’ll end the tour with lunch on the river, and head back to Bangkok at nightfall.

Day 8: Koh Chang

After breakfast and check-out, we’ll make our way to Pattaya by car. On the way there we’ll make a stop at the Nong Nooch Botanical Garden and its splendid orchid farm. We’ll walk along the various animal compounds and watch the monkeys play about. We’ll see performances portraying the unique culture and customs of the locals, such as a traditional wedding, Muay Thai (aka Thai boxing), traditional sword fights, singing and dancing. We will also witness the captivating Elephant Show, second-to-none in Thailand, and have lunch on the premises.

After our visit concludes, we’ll take a boat and ferry to the fantastic island of Koh Chang.

Day 11: Pattaya

After breakfast we’ll head east by boat to the lively oceanside city of Pattaya.

Upon arrival in Pattaya, we’ll head out to the city’s famous Walking Street, where we’ll find an abundance of clubs, bars, shops and more.

Day 12: Bangkok - Home

The final day of our magical trip to Thailand. After breakfast and check-out, we’ll have some free time to shop, the length of which will be determined by the flight departure time. We’ll travel by car to Bangkok’s international airport and from there fly directly back home.
